Central Processing Unit

We know that, CPU is responsible to control for all events or operation inside the computer. The major structural components of CPU are Control Units, Arithmetic logic units (ALU), Register and CPU interconnection.

Function of components
• Control Unit is use to control the operation of the CPU and hence computer.

• Arithmetic logic units (ALU) to perform the computer’s data processing functions.

• Register to provides storage internal to the CPU

• CPU interconnection is a some mechanism that provides for communications among the control unit, ALU, and register
